Nestled in Cuiping Village, Putao Town, Yangshuo County, it lies at the core of the UNESCO World Heritage Site-Putao Peak Forest (South China Karst).

45-minute drive from Yangshuo, the mountain presents a palm-shaped silhouette from the air, hence the name Five finger Mt.

With 700 well stone steps, 248-meter-high hill is easily conquerable in about 25 minutes on foot.

The Tortoise River below — formed by the convergence of two streams that look like a tortoise’s head. 

The crystal-clear river winds past seven ancient villages of Zhuge Liang’s descendants, arranged in the pattern of the Big Dipper,

 and before flowing into the Yulong River.

The best visiting period is from April to October Self-driving is recommended, with a small parking lot available at the entrance.
